Deep Soak and Autumn Goddess use printmaking and cyanotype as mediums to engage in ritualistic image making. The body is used as a matrix to create prints using light and paint. The necessity of bodily participation, and time-based processes elevate the making to a meditation. Physical participation is used as a mode of creation and documentation. The existence of bodies in a specific moment in time and space is recorded by the prints. Plants and flowers woven into the imagery emphasize the role of nature as a force of introspection and spirituality. Large scale cyanotype on cloth is layered with silkscreen printmaking, and paint body prints.
